Our Projects and Schemes

Engagement & Skills Project

The Engagement & Skills project, led by Chloe Johnstone (Engagement & Skills Manager), is delivering 12-months of intensive and localised digitalLogos - DigitalKent_EST_FULL COLOUR_Negative inclusion and capability support for Kent residents and businesses, supported by six Engagement Officers with oversight of two Kent borough and districts each.

Our Engagement Officers are recruiting, onboarding and retaining volunteer community digital champions, as part of the Digital Champion Network. Our Engagement Officers are also there to be a resource to support you, your organisation or businesses to understand digital inclusion and capability, promote and signpost to the projects and schemes being delivered and upskill, raise awareness and motivate the community to be digitally included.

Our Engagement Officers cover the entire county of Kent (excluding Medway).

Christopher Reddy Pen Picture"I am absolutely delighted to be serving the people of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells as an Engagement Officer for Digital Kent (Inclusion and Capability) team. My heart has always been for people and ensuring that all have access to equal opportunities in life. This is what makes me passionate about my job with Kent County Council.

I moved to the United Kingdom in 2019, I enjoyed a fruitful and heart-warming period as an Operations Manager in a local charity. This really highlighted my passion to help all those who need extra support due to different circumstances. That brings me to right now, where I have the honour of working in Kent County Council where we will be putting our best foot forward to make a real and tangible difference in the communities we serve."
