Support for Canterbury Refugee Group
Digital Kent attended a Canterbury Refugee Group run by CXK, an organisation set up to support and uplift young people across Kent. Jake Huggett and Sophie Mackenzie went along to meet this group of young refugees.
They spoke about our Digital Kent projects and how we can support refugees with digital skills and access to hardware. They also discussed Internet Safety and how to use trusted website, and made plans for what future workshops the group would like to have.
Digital Kent will be working in partnership CXK to deliver digital skills workshops to the refugees who attend this group, ensuring they have the necessary digital skills and knowledge to thrive. We look forward to this continuing partnership, and cannot wait to meet this group of young people again!
