Life Skills in Folkestone
Our Engagement Officer Doris Shaba-Jeffries had a very successful time at Folkestone’s Youth Hub. The youth group offer a Life Skills program to help young people develop a wide variety of skills to help them in their futures, and Doris developed her sessions to compliment their learning.
Speaking to groups of 11-13 year olds and 14+ groups, Doris ran sessions on both Digital Skills and Digital Safety. The kids engaged really well with these topics, especially around the topic of hacking – this generation of kids were raised with the internet and are always excited to talk about the digital world. We at Digital Kent want to make sure this generation has the skills and knowledge to have fun and stay safe online.
