Employability at Canterbury College
Our Engagement Officers Jake Huggett and Steven Holdcroft attended Canterbury College for their employability day, and led almost 100 students in an interactive workshop on understanding digital skills. Digital skills are key to employment, especially for students looking to join the workforce after graduation, with 92% of businesses wanting a basic level of digital skills from their employees, according to a recent study by Lloyds Banking Group.
Jake and Steven focused on the digital jobs of the future, how students can and should be aware of their digital footprints, and then looked at social media presence and its impacts on future careers, both the positives and negatives.
It was a huge privilege for us to represent Digital Kent at Canterbury College! If you are interested in having our team lead a Digital Skills workshop for you, please do get in touch!
