Dover Recruitment and Support Fair

Digital Kent was proud to attend Dover’s Recruitment and Support Fair. The event was organised by Dover District Council and the Kent Area Team at the Department for Work and Pensions, and was set up in Dover to help people looking for work, particularly former P&O employees who have been affected by recent redundancies.

Our Digital Kent team was there to offer support to anyone that needed help using technology to search and apply for jobs, as well as support with updating CV’s and LinkedIn profiles. The fair was open to the wider community, with some of the district’s largest manufacturing employees, as well as a host of other opportunities from the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership, Kent Police, TSS and many more.

Counsellor Trevor Bartlett, Leader of Dover District Council, and the Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Derek Murphy, were both present to support those looking for work and in need of new digital skills. We are immensely grateful to have attended this event, and look forward to building stronger relationships and skills in Dover community.
