What is the Integrated Programme?

The programme targets inequalities for patients across Kent and Medway providing hardware, connectivity solutions and digital support to use online services, including NHS online services.

The NHS is becoming increasingly digitalised, and many patients could be left behind. In December 2022, a report was done to determine the levels of digital exclusion and found that 9% of Kent and Medway is considered digitally excluded.

What are we offering patients?

Hardware Access

Through our established Hardware Access Scheme we are providing digitally excluded NHS patients access to digital devices (currently laptops).

Connectivity Access

Through our established Connectivity Access Scheme we are providing digitally excluded NHS patients access to connectivity solutions, to stay connected to the internet.

Digital Support, Skills & Sessions

We are providing digital support to NHS patients in our Digital Hubs across the county, or through our Digital Support Scheme.

How we can help GP practices

In addition to supporting NHS patients, we are also supporting GP practices to be onboarded to the ReferKent system. An online referral system, supported by the Helping Hands Scheme, that strengthen referrals for adults and families. By GP's being onboarded to the system, referrals for non-medical needs can be sent to the most appropriate public service and/or voluntary and community service, quickly, easily and securely.
