About the NHS Integrated Programme
Kent County Council's Digital Inclusion & Capabilities service (Digital Kent) have been funded by NHS Kent & Medway Integrated Care Board to target inequalities for patients across Kent and Medway, providing digital support and skills, hardware and connectivity to use NHS online health services.
The NHS is becoming increasingly digitalised, and there is concern that many patients could be left behind. In December 2022, a report was done to determine the levels of digital exclusion and found that 9% of Kent and Medway is considered digitally excluded.

Our support for GP practices
Strengthening referrals
We are supporting GP practices to be onboarded to the ReferKent system. An online referral system, supported by the Helping Hands Scheme. By GP's using the system, referrals for non-medical needs can be sent to the most appropriate service, quickly, easily and securely. Currently, ReferKent have over 200 organisations onboard, ready for referrals.
